Neither of the girls ever eats cereal.  I mean never.  And then somehow.  Madalyn was possessed.  And decided to try MY cereal.  Mine.  Mine.  Mine.  Naturally.  She loves it.  It's like manna from heaven.  She likes it for breakfast.  Maybe even two bowls.  She has it for second breakfast.  An afternoon snack.  Dessert.  All the while referring to it as HER cereal.

Every winter I am quite convinced that my Japanese Maple has died.  And then in the Spring.  I am always surprised to see that it is fully leafed.  It kinda sneaks up on you.

This is growing in my backyard.  I have no idea what it is.  If it's a weed.  Or something lovely.  Or maybe even dangerous.  I just thought it looked interesting.

It's wear green day at school.  And the class with the most green items gets a party.  So...Madalyn loaded up on the green.  Even wearing a lap blanket.  And a green pen behind her ears.

Beware!  Or celebrate as the case may be.  It was for us 14 years ago.  So, to celebrate our anniversary, we went out to dinner at Ted's.  And then hung out at Barnes and Noble.  All sans children.  It was a glorious day!

It's Pi day...Katie's favorite day of the year.  So.  Naturally.  We made pie.  With strawberries making the pi symbol.  We even had pie for dinner.  Egg pie.  Yum.

Somehow Katie and I have become addicted to expensive sandwich shops.  First Panera.  And now La Madeleine.  This is my yummy lunch: a chicken parisien sandwich.

Madalyn is constantly begging me to come and have lunch with her at school.  We get to sit at a special table.  She can invite a friend.  And when the rest of the kids get too loud and have to be quiet, we can keep talking.  But I think the whole reason she likes me to come is that I always give her ice cream money.

After looking at Madalyn's nightstand, I thought I'd show you the books on mine.  I am reading "World Without End" now.  But I am thinking that my wrists will need a break before I start "Under the Dome."

After reading that Barnes and Noble defines "Are you there God, It's me Margaret..." as "iffy" for anyone under 14, I got the book for Madalyn.  Who is 8.  She has really liked it.  Asked lots of questions.  (Like:  what are loafers?).  And has been full of lots of giggles.
